Animal lovers take notice!!!

|
I was sent an email from my original FagHag Tracey. Tracey and I go WAAAAAAY to a time when life was good, full of fun, and our parents paid for almost everything we needed. AWWWWW the 80's, gotta love 'em.

Anywho, she sent me an email that has a link, that just by clicking it, you can help donate food to animal shelters and it doesn't cost you a dime.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS LINK; and here is the actual email I received...

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... Please tell 10
friends to tell 10 today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble
getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of
getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site
and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals' for free. This
doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in
exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along
to people you know.

The Animal Rescue Site = http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com
PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS
Thanks

I will check into it for more information, but for now, I think this is legit!

**POST UPDATE**

They are partners with PetFinder.com, so they are part of a fantastic team, please check them out. I am having hyper-llink issues from work, I will have to work on it once I get home, so please copy and paste the IP address.

I always thought Elvis sang Kentucky Rain, but I guess I was wrong. I still don't know what this guy was saying.....it's in the last 5 seconds of the song....you be the judge. Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy EARLY St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Living Hell!

|
OK, so this past Monday, I had to go to a Senior Fair at a college not too far from home. I had to pick up the name-dropper at her house at 6 am to begin my little trip to hell.

There were many different exhibitors, showing off their wares, giving advice, demonstrations and of course freebies. Now the only reason I like doing them are for the freebies. I feel a little awkward going up to the different vendors and taking their stuff, but hell you get some neat-o stuff. Usually you can always get the pill holders, calendars, pens and pencils, but this time I got a spatula and a CD opener thing-a-ma-bob. It's actually kinda cool, you slide this little plastic circle over the casing, and a tiny razor comes out and slices open the CD jewel case. I will have to take pics of my treasurers so you will all be jealous....just don't be a hatin'....I'm just sayin'.

So anyway, at this particular health fair they had entertainment....and not just any entertainment I'm telling you....BOY-O-BOY, they had an Elvis impersonator!!! He even talked about himself as being older than some of the people there and had more energy, with him even being DEAD for 30 years...ba-dum-dum

He actually sang decently, and did all the fancy footwork, and a grinding of the hips. It was a little funny, cause he was s'posed to go for 45 minutes, and you could tell he was winding down after about 25. I had a video of him singing "Kentucky Rain", if I can figure out how to get it on here, you will crack up.

Then we had a group called "The Silver Belles and a Beau". The Beau was a freak show that sang songs I had never heard of before, except for "Happy Trails" from the Roy Rogers Show. He even did the Trigger horse whinny. I wanted to kill myself. It was insane.

The ladies, all of whom looked as tho they needed a walker at first, got on stage and started cutting a rug to some show tunes.

They even had two different troops of "Belles", and you could tell one group was the varsity troop and one was the back-up troop. Each troop did 3 songs a piece and a Finale number!

THEY EVEN HAD COSTUME CHANGES!!!! LOOK OUT CHER!

Seriously, I felt like I was in a REALLY bad, bad, bad episode of "The Golden Girls". I kept waiting for Sophia or Dorothy to get up on stage and start singing "Me and My Shadow" or some dumb shit.

That shindig was followed by an AWFUL singing Banjo player and then a game show kinda bullshit, where you either has to "Sing it, Name it, or Dance to it...!" At that point I knew I was truly in HELL and being punished! The ride home was just as bad tho. Name-dropper was blah-blah-blahing names that she was going out with that nite, since the IL legislature was in town, trying to pass a budget and waste more taxpayer money, they would all be hitting the town tonite, eating, drinking and making illegal merriment all over downtown.

So anyway, I have ANOTHER Senior Fair with Name-dropper tomorrow, and we have to leave at 5 am....wish me luck, and I will see what kinds of freebies I can get this go round! YEEEEEHAW!!!!!!!!!

Back to the grindstone...

Well, I am back in Beautiful Downtown Springfield! After being on the road Friday, Monday and Tuesday, it is kinda nice to be back in the office.

I was on the road with a certain, looney-ass, shit-stirrer that I work with. I heard non-stop stories of her fabulous life, the highs and lows, her kids and more name-dropping that one person should ever have to endure. I mean this lady has met some Beatles, Rat Packers, Laurel and Hardy, NKOTB, John Wayne Gacy, 5 Presidents, and tons of other "people in the know". **wink, wink**

Seriously, I don't know when the crappage begins OR ends. Seriously, I thought about running the car into an enbankment; but at about the time I decided to take the plunge, she started talking about how depressed and in how much pain she was in....that I thought it was only right to save this child from SUDDEN death, and make her go thru the same hell I had been subject to for the last 3 workdays. heeheehee - O YEA, and pray for her soul **wink, wink**

I have more stories and pics and maybe even a video from the time OTR (on the road), if I can figure out how to get it off my phone.

Hope all is well....

On the Road again.....

So today I was out of the office, doing one of my wonderful events. I was working in conjunction with a somewhat local State Representative, well actually one of his flunkies, giving away energy efficient light bulbs. When I call this guy a flunky, I by no means mean it in a bad way, cause hell, to me if you aren't the main man or woman, you are basically someone's flunky, myself included.

So I have to travel across the Land of Lincoln to get to my destination of choice, this time in Arcola, IL. In the heart of Amish Country! YEE HAW!!!

I saw some things that I thought I must share with ya'll in the blog-o-shere, in case you have never been to Amish Country!

This first little sign was what I needed to what out for.....

EEEECK! there's one now!

Then as I was driving along, I stumbled upon this....Even I had never seen one of these before....I bet the Motor City doesn't have one of these....and altho it is a used lot, I wonder where they get the new, off the assembly line jobbers????

Who would have thunk that they have their very own used buggy-lot, where they buy, trade and sell those puppies....Now ya know.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and look out for those buggy's or is it buggies!?? Whatever....

What a difference a day makes....

Check out these photos. The are of basically the same positions and from the same office windows as yesterday.

Then of course you have yesterday, when the same shot looked like this:

I certainly hope like hell that Spring is just around the corner. I am getting a little tired of the cold and snow. It's not like when I was a kid and got to run and play in it all day.

here we go again.....

|
Well, true to form, if you don't like the weather in Central IL, just sit tight, it will change in a few.....This latest round of handywork of the devil, errr I mean, Mother Nature, started this morning at 11 am, and has been going strong ever since.

I mean gimme a break, in the 70's on Sunday and now a wonderful wintery snow mix from 4 to 6 inches. I mean if you are gonna give me the low hard one, make it at least 6 to 8 inches, heeheehee.

I will see what kind of fun pics I can get at lunch.

Cheers!

Rainy days and Mondays......

I hate my job, I hate my job, I hate my job.....breathe in, count to 10.......

Ok so I actually DO NOT hate my job, I just hate the MOTHERTRUCKING IDIOTS I WORK WITH. The job we do isn't brain surgery or rocket science, we basically have to sort thru the mundane crap, have people prove their identity and heirship for property. It's pretty cut and dry, policies and procedures have been set up.....pretty simple huh? I have been working with the same group of morons for 3 plus years, there are 6 people in my division, and only 2 of us have a clue as to WTH is going on. It is sooooo frustrating. Unfortunately this is state government, if this was the private sector, these idiots would be out on their asses. I mean, I get sooo fed up with the bullshit. I have about 10-15 irons in the fire on any given day, while they don't even try to delegate any more work on the other idiots, cause they will just fuck it up. There is a third person in our division that is competent, but she is lazy and does nothing but bitch 24-7 at work. That is COMPLETELY different from MOI- I just bitch here, not at work, heeheehee. I am sure you have all worked with this type of person, all she does is stir the pot, just trying to create friction and drama here. She came into my office one time, trying to get me going, and it kinda back fired on me, cause I lost it and told her, "Get the fuck out of my office, before I slap the bitch out of you!", luckily my door was shut and the rest of the office didn't here us. I think she may have tried to get me back for that little blurb, but I have the seniority and respect of the management and staff, that nobody believed her. Well, everyone except for my closest of co-workers, whom I couldn't wait to re-tell the story too, lol.

So anyway, it's monday and I am back at work, hating life and all....It was 72 degrees here yesterday, I was running around in shorts and a T-shirt and now we are expecting falling temps and 4-6 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. WTF, MotherNature needs to get off the crack pipe and figure out what to do with the weather. I am sick of it - that's all I know, and that's all I'm telling ya.

Oh yea, and it's RAINING....not RAINING MEN, just RAINING....but enjoy the video flashback!

Oh the memories of this song and the 80's.....Boy, Martha Wash has got some ta-ta's happenin'.....I'm just sayin'
