Well, I am back in Beautiful Downtown Springfield! After being on the road Friday, Monday and Tuesday, it is kinda nice to be back in the office.
I was on the road with a certain, looney-ass, shit-stirrer that I work with. I heard non-stop stories of her fabulous life, the highs and lows, her kids and more name-dropping that one person should ever have to endure. I mean this lady has met some Beatles, Rat Packers, Laurel and Hardy, NKOTB, John Wayne Gacy, 5 Presidents, and tons of other "people in the know". **wink, wink**
Seriously, I don't know when the crappage begins OR ends. Seriously, I thought about running the car into an enbankment; but at about the time I decided to take the plunge, she started talking about how depressed and in how much pain she was in....that I thought it was only right to save this child from SUDDEN death, and make her go thru the same hell I had been subject to for the last 3 workdays. heeheehee - O YEA, and pray for her soul **wink, wink**
I have more stories and pics and maybe even a video from the time OTR (on the road), if I can figure out how to get it off my phone.

So today I was out of the office, doing one of my wonderful events. I was working in conjunction with a somewhat local State Representative, well actually one of his flunkies, giving away energy efficient light bulbs. When I call this guy a flunky, I by no means mean it in a bad way, cause hell, to me if you aren't the main man or woman, you are basically someone's flunky, myself included.
So I have to travel across the Land of Lincoln to get to my destination of choice, this time in Arcola, IL. In the heart of Amish Country! YEE HAW!!!
I saw some things that I thought I must share with ya'll in the blog-o-shere, in case you have never been to Amish Country!

Then as I was driving along, I stumbled upon this....Even I had never seen one of these before....I bet the Motor City doesn't have one of these....and altho it is a used lot, I wonder where they get the new, off the assembly line jobbers????

Rainy days and Mondays......
I hate my job, I hate my job, I hate my job.....breathe in, count to 10.......
Ok so I actually DO NOT hate my job, I just hate the MOTHERTRUCKING IDIOTS I WORK WITH. The job we do isn't brain surgery or rocket science, we basically have to sort thru the mundane crap, have people prove their identity and heirship for property. It's pretty cut and dry, policies and procedures have been set up.....pretty simple huh? I have been working with the same group of morons for 3 plus years, there are 6 people in my division, and only 2 of us have a clue as to WTH is going on. It is sooooo frustrating. Unfortunately this is state government, if this was the private sector, these idiots would be out on their asses. I mean, I get sooo fed up with the bullshit. I have about 10-15 irons in the fire on any given day, while they don't even try to delegate any more work on the other idiots, cause they will just fuck it up. There is a third person in our division that is competent, but she is lazy and does nothing but bitch 24-7 at work. That is COMPLETELY different from MOI- I just bitch here, not at work, heeheehee. I am sure you have all worked with this type of person, all she does is stir the pot, just trying to create friction and drama here. She came into my office one time, trying to get me going, and it kinda back fired on me, cause I lost it and told her, "Get the fuck out of my office, before I slap the bitch out of you!", luckily my door was shut and the rest of the office didn't here us. I think she may have tried to get me back for that little blurb, but I have the seniority and respect of the management and staff, that nobody believed her. Well, everyone except for my closest of co-workers, whom I couldn't wait to re-tell the story too, lol.
So anyway, it's monday and I am back at work, hating life and all....It was 72 degrees here yesterday, I was running around in shorts and a T-shirt and now we are expecting falling temps and 4-6 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. WTF, MotherNature needs to get off the crack pipe and figure out what to do with the weather. I am sick of it - that's all I know, and that's all I'm telling ya.
Oh yea, and it's RAINING....not RAINING MEN, just RAINING....but enjoy the video flashback!
Oh the memories of this song and the 80's.....Boy, Martha Wash has got some ta-ta's happenin'.....I'm just sayin'

Seriously, I hope all is well out there in the real world, same ole chit happenin' here.
PookieBear and I are working on another bedroom now, we went to the HomoDepot last weekend and found some granite tile on sale. Got a GREAT price, only like $2 bucks a tile, it usually goes for around $7 bucks or more. We are having the spare office and the master bedroom and bath done with this tile.
The people FINALLY came and put the desk together, I kno call me lazy, but it was worth the $80 bucks to have someone put it together. It would have taken me FOREVER to do it myself, plus a ton of aggrevation.
The parents came last weekend and Mom has gotten a new puppy.
She got a Yorkie, and named it Libby....ewwwww....sorry Libby's of the world, I just don't think that it's a good name, but hell, mine are Buffy and Willow...who am I to judge. She is adorable tho, and loved to play with Buffy, but didn't like Willow at all, it was hilarious to see them all together, heeeheehee.

2 PKGS. FIESTA RANCH STYLE DRESSING MIX
2 PKGS. TACO SEASONING MIX
1 (16OZ) BLACK BEANS UNDRAINED
1 (16OZ) KIDNEY BEANS UNDRAINED
1 (16OZ) PINTO BEANS UNDRAINED
1 (16OZ) CAN TOMATOES UNDRAINED
1 CAN ROTEL DICED TOMATOES WITH CHILIS UNDRAINED (MAY USE 2 CANS TO MAKE HOTTER)

So it was nice being off yesterday for Lincoln's birthday, one of the few pluses being in the State of IL. It was a nasty day out, so I was glad to be home with the girls.
I want to know why I never have the delivery man or home fix-it man that is in porno$. I mean hell, in my 40+ years there has never been a boom-chica-bow-wow music cue, with me opening the door with some strapping young hunk at the door, ready and williing to give me a DELIVERY or SNAKING OF THE PIPES, **wink, wink**. There was that time back in the early 90's that I was playing with the phone company/electrician, but that is another story, heeheehee. But really, who does this happen too??? Better yet, WHERE does this happen????
Case in point, yesterday we had a new hot water heater installed, and let's just say he was a little back-woodsy. I almost wanted to call the company back and ask for a cuter model, but I thought that would be just plain mean, heeheehee. He was not even cute in the slightest, only like 5'8", missing a couple front teeth and smelled like he had smoked a carton before coming to our place. He was nice enough and polite with his "Sir's" and "May I" stuff, but it took him ALL DAY LONG to complete the stuff we wanted done. You see, he not only installed/disposed water heaters, but whent he house was built, they put the key to turn on the fireplace, INSIDE the damn hearth. They also used aluminum pipe to run the gas to it, so we had it install new pipe and drill a new turn key on the outside brick to bring it up to code. All said and done for less than $2K, not bad, but time-wise it was from 9:30 am to 5 pm.....grrrrrrr and the girls were none to happy either, they wanted to check out the visitor, but I had to either keep them in the bedroom or on the porch.
It was nice having a HOT 15 MINUTE SHOWER this morning, aaaahhhhhhhhh
In the next week, we have a ton o shit being delivered, so I will have all kind of pics for the masses, but can I just have one sorta-boom-chica-bow-wow moment.....please.....heeheehee.
By the way, the guest bedroom is almost done, but one major piece of furniture has had the delivery date pushed back....so maybe tonite I will update on what has happened in there so far....

Just let me begin by saying that I do not know how much or how often I will be posting to this blog.
I mainly like the name of it, since most of my blogroll know me by this name, and then if I do decide to take up blogging fulltime again, I have it here to do.
I don't know what the hell I did, but I was trying to merge all my stupid blogger/google accounts, and somehow I deleted The Martini Lounge. Oh well....
The guest bedroom is almost finished, just waiting on the desk to be put together/delivered this next Tuesday. Once all is said and done I will post pics, The Girls don't know what to think of it. Every chance they get they are in there sniffing up a storm, lol.
The weather here sucks, one day it is in the mid 60's, then we got a foot of snow the next, and then we had thunderstorms the following day. WTF is up with that...the apocolypse????
Well, time for me to scoot, I am going to fudge around with the layout and colors...just wait till you see me next, heeheehe.
